'My first encounter with Mary was when she obtained a mortgage for me. It had the lowest rate I was able to obtain. What's more, when I went into the bank to sign the mortgage, the staff told me the rate was lower than what they could have offered. In my second encounter, I called Mary to indicate the interest rate my bank was offering me on renewal of a different mortgage. She said she could match the rate but since changing financial institutions is a lot of paper work (providing list of assets and liabilities, income, etc.), I should stay with the existing bank. I appreciated the fact that she looked at my interest over earning her commission. Now that is ethical!'
